What a "Wonder"ful life!!!

I have always been wonderstruck thinking about how things take their course in life as if we are acting a preplanned script. Many a times when I rewind my thoughts from childhood till date, I’m awestruck with the way the things have changed. Take for instance, as a child I always wanted to become a doctor but I look at me today, Ah!! Had never thought would be ending up in a software profession.

All those different incidents – good old days of SSVM, VHS, demise of my grandfather and how that changed my life to explore a different route (probably that was the incident which made me change my opinion about the medical profession). College days in NCJ, my reluctance to take up CET, graduating with a pure science course, NIIT, me making up my mind on going to Pune, all the incidents that happened in Pune, then change of mind to come back to Bangalore……It’s a never ending list and who know what more is in store for your in the future.

At that moment I probably might not have even thought about things like why is this happening or what else was in thoughts etc etc…But today when I look back it simple amazes me how everything has been executed to perfection. It forces me to think how does things happen or who decides what needs to happen after what and when….Is this what we call destiny???

Another thing that has always been a fascinating thought since my childhood days is the human body. Human anatomy and physiology has always been my favorite topic. Just have a glance at the human body…Doesn’t it look like a well planned, well designed structure???? Even the minutest detail has been dealt with carefully and designed so intricately. If it has really been designed by someone, then hats off to the designer. Not only human beings, any creature for that matter, animals, birds, insects…Infact, I have been seeing all kinds of strange insects recently. The kind of adaptations they make to their body structure to protect themselves…it’s simply amazing…After all what drives all these evolutions, metamorphosis etc, etc?????

If any of my scientist friends are reading this, I’m sure to get back loads of counter thoughts on this. But in here, I’m probably looking at it with a more theistic view. Whatever may be the point of view, life always presents itself with wonders like these. Truly, what a ‘wonder’ful life…

My Friend Shakthi

"Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart"

Shakthi is one of the few such friends in my life. Lot of people come into our lives but people like him stay in your heart and memories forever. What can I say? He is one of the most wonderful people in the world. A very lively, jovial, optimistic and a positive personality, being in his company is the most pleasurable and refreshing experience I would say.

What I like the most about Shakthi? Well, he has this wonderful talent (should I say) of laughing away all the worries and sorrows. To put it in his own words he has mastered the art of efficiently managing frontend and backend :).

Going back to the title of the post, it sounds very familiar to one of the most recent animated movies, "My Friend Ganesha" :). Infact, I would say we share a similar relationship as in the movie. No, not exactly a “God-like” person or something, they say “whatever your heart clings to and confides to is really your GOD”. For me it is a belief, strength which gives you hope and encouragement to get better in life and his friendship has helped me revive myself as a person and helped me regain my kind of lost confidence in myself. Thanks Shakthi, for being there for me always.

Why am I writing this post today? Well, tomorrow, the 15th October is his birthday. And I could not think of a better gift than dedicating this post to him (btw he is one of the people who has inspired me to start blogging).

Happy Birthday Shakthi!!! May this year bring lot of happiness, success and prosperity in your life….

Sajti rahe khusiyon ki mehfil, Har khushi suhani rahe

Aap zindagi mein itne khush rahe ki, Har khushi aapki Diwani rahe

Hope you liked this surprise…..

Ah, this post will be incomplete without his favorite punchline "Whatte Fun!!!" :)

Ps: I wanted to keep this a surprise, so did not take your permission to post a blog about you. Hope you don’t mind

Life's Like This???

I'm back with the treasures from my pandora box.

One of my hobbies was to collect good articles form various sources. During my Pune days I was a regular visitor of rediff especially the Rediff Diary. I would like to share some of the articles from my collection once in a while.
Here's the first one for you. There was this nice poem about life which I quite liked it...

Life's Like That

Life's a busy schedule
Once your are born cool
Soon your are in school
With friends in the pool

Physics, Chemistry and workbooks
Confused between theorems and your looks
Feeling curious what mummy cooks
Ready with shirt without hooks

School over, college starts
Posters of Madonna replaces chemistry charts
Maruti in, out bullock carts
Dating, flirting are on the cards
Mamma's kitchen recipies close
Restaurants, pizzas no one oppose

College over, begin professional course
Choose computers ofcourse
Between LOTUS and WORDSTAR
You wonder where is your lucky star
Your job is full of scars
No time to visit bars

Growing old, marry soon
Have kids and frequent honeymoon
Goes morn, come noon
You with Ramayana, kids with Mills and Boon

Here it begins, here it ends
This is life, my friends

This, friends, is probably the lifestyle of most of us.  Many a times I wonder "What is it that we are achieving in life. Sincerely handling our duties and responsibilities at every stage of our life?????". Naah....that's not an achievement for me in any ways.

I have always wanted to do something unique, challenging in life. The world around has given us, taught us a lot of things by the virtue of which we are what we are today. In return we need to given back something to the world, in whatever form it might be. That according to me is the true sense of LIVING

But, I must admit that never in my life till date have I ever felt that I have contributed something great....This definitely is thought provoking!!! What say???

Well, these were just my few thoughts about life. I now open the thinking box for you all to fill in with your thoughts....

When you were born,
You CRIED and the world REJOICED
Live your life such that-
When you die,
The world CRIES and you REJOICE

See you soon with more stuff....

My first experiments with poetry

Nature has always fascinated me....right from my childhood till today. It gives me immense pleasure to be amidst nature. The first few things that come to my mind while talking about nature is the "Rainbow". It is always a pleasure to watch them form in the sky. It still reminds me of my childhood days when I used to run out to the terrace to watch them...

It was in those goody goody days when I first tried my hands on poetry and writing in general. The poem here is one of my first poems and as you might have guessed it is about rainbow...

Rainbow shines bright and bright,
Which makes the children bright with light.

Rain falls drop by drop,
Which makes the rainbow form on top.
People look at it without a stop,
Which makes them lick a pop.

Children look at it with great joy,
Which makes them run with joy.
When the rainbow fades away,
Children's joy dies away.

I know it looks very childish and why not...??? it was written when I was somewhere in my 5th class.

Honestly, those are the most unforgettable days of my life. Childhood, I must say is a world in itself. How I wish I could go back in time to all those fantasies and experience the joy we used to find in all the small things around us.
Today, I come back from office, tired and stressed out....I close my eyes and.....a few minutes down the memory lane I feel so relaxed....truly a remarkable stress buster for me.
In today's world, memories like these prove to be miracles to our chaotic, confused, tense minds. What say people??

Well, could not think of a better way to start blogging. I hope to resume my tuta phuta writing...atleast make a sincere effort to move a step ahead from being an amateur....

Signing off for now....will be back soon with more treasures :)
